If it’s rustic simplicity you’re after, consider renting The Wyld Lodge here at Monkton Wyld Court. This beautiful refurbished wooden cabin is in a secluded spot, surrounded on three sides by trees, with a balcony looking south over the valley where our cows graze. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available by reservation [breakfast £4.50, lunch £10, dinner £15]. Our food is vegetarian and organically grown, much of it right here in our garden. A stroll through the grounds highlights local biodiversity. Written guides to longer walks in the area are available. Nearby beaches at Charmouth and Lyme Regis are ideal for fossil hunting, wildlife spotting and beautiful views. The historic market towns of Bridport and Axminster are also just up the road.
