Situated in the Ribeira Sacra area and built with stone and chestnut wood, the old rectory has been restored with principles of environmentally friendly construction and old wooden furniture. We've got some farm animals, practice ecological agriculture, and have three double rooms available for lodging. For breakfast, organic fruit and tomatoes are either grown on our own farm or purchased, as are our preserves, jams and juices. Also nuts - walnuts, hazelnuts, chestnuts. Eggs are from our free range hens. We make sausages from Celtic pork. The bread, baked in a traditional wood fired oven, is made with organic stone ground wheat and rye flours. Our house wine is made from organic grapes grown in the A Pena e O Castelo vineyard.
